Sunday saw us wrap up the season with the last race on the calender. "The Glen Macintosh Race". It was good to see all those that made the effort to come down and race and to all the volunteers, thank you.
The race was a success despite our two super stars Laura and Sam whinging about the cold water, then again they did have to wait nearly 30mins to actually start their race :) and even though it was like swimming in ice, Darryl didn't let us down ... still swimming in nothing but budgie smugglers, true to his legendary form!!
Even though most grade champions had already been determined there was still a battle being had out on the course. Luke Warwick tried drowning his offsider before the horn had even sounded But there could only be one winner and out through the fog emerged a name that's starting to be mentioned more and more with Triathlons and PB's ..... JODIE BARRY. A truly deserved recipient of the trophy. Well Done Jodie!!
After the race and after many Bacon and Egg rolls were consumed (thanks to all the chefs, but geez who puts Baz in charge of the tongs) the End of the Season presentation was held.
Men and Womens Grade Champions:
A grade: Jimbo Sanderson & Darleen Cheney
B Grade: Mick Maher & Jody Marson
C Grade: Adrian Pensini & Cassie Pensini
D Grade: Rod Loveday & Tanya Porto
Short Course: Isaac Sanderson & Jo Pilgram
