Next Monday 13th May, the Club will be holding its Annual General Meeting for 2018/19, which will steer us into the following 2019/20 season.
The AGM will be held upstairs at The Westport Club, and all members are invited to come along @6.00pm for light refreshments for a 6.30pm meeting start.
All current roles & positions on the executive committee (President, Vice Pres, Treasurer, Secretary), and the associated jobs related to clothing, sponsors, media, sanctioning, etc.. are open and any interested members are more than welcome (and strongly encouraged!) to put their hand up for a role. We love new faces :)
Even if you're not interested in taking on an official role for next season, come along and see how the administration of the Club works behind the scenes, and perhaps get an idea of a role which you may be able to contribute to during the upcoming season.
Being part of the Club's race committee for example allows you to contribute to putting our race calendar together, choosing what racing formats we use, while only being required to attend 2-3 meetings in the season. And we have a few other jobs that similarly don't require a great commitment, but are still essential to ensure the smooth running of the Club.
Keen to know more? Come along on Monday, even if it's just for a chance to catch up with everyone during these quiet post-IM weeks!
