Our next event is Race 4 this Sunday 9th December, again being staged down at our McInherney Park venue with a 7.00am race start. This race is generously sponsored by long-time Club friend Peter Clark from Healthier You.
Peter will be attending the race this weekend and is a wealth of invaluable information about athlete health, training strategies and race-week preparation. So make sure you catch up with him if you have any burning questions.
This week sees us completing the race in the popular Enduro format, which has everyone racing the Short Course distance of 300m swim, 9km bike and 2.5km run. For those wishing to compete in the Long Course event in A-D grades, you then go back and complete the Short Course for a 2nd time.
So for Short Course and Social Grade racers, you'll be competing on your regular Short Course distances.
For Long Course racers, you'll be competing a 300m swim - 9km bike - 2.5km run - 300m swim - 9km bike - 2.5km run. A great format for the non-wetsuit swimmers!
Registration times are the same with the rego table opening at 6.15am and closing at 6.45am sharp. Make sure you're there, set up and registered before the race briefing @6.50am.
If on duty, please ensure you arrive promptly at 6.00am, sign on, and report to Jo/Kate. If you haven't yet put yourself down for a Race Duty position for the season, please make sure you do so. The link to the online editable Duty Roster is here:
