Port Macquarie Triathlon Club concluded its 2016-17 season with the announcement of grade champions and club awards at a gangster-themed presentation night last weekend.
In A Grade, Harry Jones and Alison Appleton won the male and female titles, while Adrian Pensini and Racheal Goodwin claimed honours in B Grade.
Bennett Powell and Jody Marson outclassed the C Grade field to win the championships, while John Tracy and Julie Parish were winners in D Grade.
In the half distance category, Boyd Bann-Murray and Ricky Pomroy were named champions.
Club awards for 2016-17 included:
Rookie of the Year: Todd Wills
Quiet Achiever: John Tracy
Senior Encouragement Award: Fiona Bagley
Junior Encouragement Award: Madeline Farah-Halls
Club Person of the Year: Julie Parish
President’s Award: Jody Marson
Most improved male: Luke Trevenar
Most improved female: Cassie Pensini
The club’s Annual General Meeting is scheduled for 6pm on Tuesday, 6 June 2017 at The Westport Club. All welcome.
